Best Baby Music

It is not a secret among parents that singing to your baby can soothe them to sleep and music can also serve the same function for babies as it does for adults – lifting spirits, soothing frayed nerves and more.  While the evidence is not 100% conclusive, there is evidence to suggest listening to classical music in the womb and at an early age increases intelligence later in life (the so-called Mozart effect).  There is, however very firm evidence to suggest that playing a musical instrument at a young age profoundly affects brain development and augments spatial-temporal skills, math ability, reading skills, vocabulary, verbal memory and phonemic awareness.  Regardless of whether listening to music with your baby will promote intelligence, it is worthwhile solely for lifting moods and spirits together and we highly recommend it.
