Solid bargain fair for baby articles in the Derby Arena
The Derby Arena is set to host a major mothers' show to get baby goods at affordable rates. Mom2mum stores, which sell almost new baby articles, have sprung up all over London and the south-east - and now they're coming to Derbyshire. Marketplaces offer the possibility for mothers and fathers to earn a living by offering their adult baby and children's gear to other households.
Purchasers can achieve significant cost reductions on their own Mom2mum store. Great articles such as design strollers and great playthings are selling for about a third of the selling cost, and clothes start at just £50. Every venue is indoor and selling is expected to attract a large number of people, with shoppers waiting up to half an hours before the start of the deal to get the best deals.
The company has been growing ever since, and it now has a large ecosystem of mothers operating their own Mom2mum stores in the UK. Long Eaton's Lynsey Sumner, 41, started the Derbyshire Mom2mum store with her first Shardlow Village Hall sales in April - and after that the Derby Arena, with 5,000 seats for next year, is a big hit.
"I was looking for a place to buy locals and there was a limit to what I could do. I then came across Mom2mum almost new market franchises that were already very much loved in the southern hemisphere. "and I had 200 shoppers. "That led me to come closer to the Derby Arena, and I was overjoyed when they asked me to look around.
The Derby Arena is scheduled to host three of the Mom2mum stores in 2018, with the first scheduled for February 17.
