Fortunately for both, there were certain toys that pleased both sides of the argument at once. Tinker Toys, a classical kit toys that has been popular with grown-ups and kids for almost a hundred years, is one of the best. Tinker Toys was created by a stone mason called Charles Pajeau in 1913.

Having perfected the Tinker Toys kit in his workshop, Pajeau brought his new creations to the American Toy Fair in 1914. According to tradition, the Tinker Toys achieved their first official glory when Pajeau asked a pharmacist to put an exhibition of Tinker Toy wind-mills with small sheets of papers in his shop windows.

The small wind-mills were brought to live by an electrical ventilator, which attracted a lot of interest and caused the humans to buy Tinker Toys themselves. There is another tale that says that Pajeau didn't get much points at the toy fair, but made the toy a great hit later at Christmas 1914. Allegedly, he did this by purchasing seats in a storefront slot and employing little folks who wear elf costumes and compete with the Tinker Toys.

One way or another, Tinker Toys quickly became a smash hit. Tinker Toys. Children have loved the challenges Tinker Toys offers for their fantasies, and families enjoy the smart and thoughtful way Tinker Toys work. By combining so much enjoyment and mentally challenging, Tinker Toys have become a permanent favorite.

Though there have been changes over the years (Giant Tinker Toys were launched for a while, and in the early 90's Plastik Tinker Toys superseded the well-known wood style), Tinker Toys are still very much in demand today.
